The 'Akali Nihang Baba Darbara Singh Sanatan Suraj Bansia Shastar Vidiya Shiv Akhara' has various classes running throughout the UK.

The 'Shiv Akhara' that run are completely FREE, but those wishing to voluntarily donate money can view the section on 'Rast Bast Chara' for details on how the money is utilised.

Please note the following:
1. Any law-abiding citizen of sound mind and body, regardless of faith, creed, colour, caste, or socio-economic status may attend the 'Shiv Akhara'.
2. All students must adhere to the rules and regulations as stipulated by the 'Shiv Akhara'.
3. All students are expected to respect the particular requirements of the various locations - primarly for their own health and safety, and for general respect (as many of the 'Shiv Akhara' are located in buildings which are used for holy gatherings).
4. We advise women to bring a partner who they are comfortable with as there is a high degree of bodily contact in many of the techniques taught.
5. Suitable clothing must be worn (tracksuit, trainers, loose comfortable clothing, etc.)
6. Any health issues must be mentioned to the 'Gurdev', or senior 'Shagird' prior to beginning training.
7. For those with known medical condition(s), please consult your physician before attending the class.

The classes are taught primarily in English, although there is a healthy dose of Punjabi thrown in for those interested in history, traditions and ideology. The locations are:

Fridays 6.15pm to 9.30pm (adults and children)

2. Naamdhari Gurdwara - 1199 Coventry Road, Hay Mills, Birmingham, B25 8DF (map)
Sundays 9.45am to 1.00pm (adults and children)

3 Guru Amardas Gurdwara, 219-227 Clarendon Park Road, Leicester, Leicestershire, LE2 3AN (map)
Sundays 2.00pm to 4.00pm (adults and children)

4. Saint Francis of Assisi Church, off London Road, Slough, SU9 978 (map)
Saturdays 12.00pm to 3.00pm (adults and children)
