Also known as 'Tilk'.

An ancient Hindu Sikh practise of anointing the forehead, or other items such as weapons, chariots, houses, trees, etc for religious or cultural significance. This is done with brightly coloured dyes (either as a paste, or dry powder). Amongst Indian warrior traditions, the blood of a freshly decapitated 'Chatanga' (goat) is utilised.
