According to Indian mythology, Manu, a 'Kyshatriya' by caste is considered to be the father of mankind.

Over the centuries the Kyshatriya warrior, meditating upon 'Mahakal/Shiva' and 'Shakti' embodied by the goddess 'Chandi'/'Kalika'.

Drawing strength and inspiration from this, he used this martial knowledge to defend 'Dharam' ('Nirmal Panth Pradipaka', Gian Singh, (Babu Rajinder Singh, Sialkot, XX), Pa. 51). As the upcoming pacifist Buddhist philosophy began to undermine the 'Kyshatriya', from amongst the indigenous Hindu populace of Jatts, appeared new warriors to defend Sanatan Hindu Dharam.

Jatts are an ancient race of northern India and trace their origins to the Indo-Scynthians. They are known traditionally as hardy cultivators, good drinkers and ferocious warriors. The Jatts trace themselves mythological to Shiva.

In 713 A.D Mohammad Bin Kasim a Persian general began the Muslim invasions of India. The Hindu world would desperately defended itself for the next two centuries from being annihilated. On many fronts, the brave Rajputs successfully hurled back many an unprovoked invasion after invasion of the rapacious 'Turk' determined to remove Sanatan 'Dharam'.
