'Amrit Mai Baani' literally translates as 'Immortal Scripture', and speaks of spiritual matters only, just as the scripture in Adi Guru Durbar.
Adi Guru Durbar teaches to worship the One, Immortal Being, 'Akal', and to see 'Akal' in all. Akali Nihang Guru Gobind Singh writes:
'Without the Creator, do not worship its creation.
The Creator who is the root of all things, is never born [as Avtar].
The Unconquerable, such a being only know as highest Supreme Being.
So what if Vishnu came [as Avatar] and killed ten or so demons?
So what if he showed many miraculous feats in the world and began to call himself Brahma?
How can you consider Vishnu as he who always has the power of creation and dissolution?
That is why Vishnu's Avatars could not save themselves from the sword of 'Sarb Kal'.
Oh fool listen!
How can they [the Avatars of Vishnu - Rama, Krishna etc.] save you, when they themselves have sunk in the world [meaning are mortal]?
Only then will you [mankind] shall achieve salvation when you seek the protection of the Creator of the world.'
