The reader should be aware that it is becoming an increasing trend that the information on both www.shastarvidiya.org and www.sarbloh.info is being presented on other Sikh/non-Sikh-related websites/publications in a diluted/expunged form by certain individuals of poor character.
The versions presented on such material are devoid of any references to the original sources, and, in order to appeal to the puritanical Sikh Diaspora in the West, they distort the historical truth. In some cases, the information is utilised to insult Sanatan Sikhs, such as the Udasi Sikhs (traditional Sikh missionaries). Some self-righteous groups have even labelled Akali Nihang Singhs as "anti-Sikh". Certain groups of Sikhs, unhappy with the wealth of scriptural and historical quotes, and oral tradition presented to back-up Akali Nihang martial ideology, are trying their best to steal whatever they find is compatible with their perception of Sikhism, then present it as their own.
More recently we have noted the following examples:
a) An article written by Nihang Niddar Singh on Hindu Sikh women having all references to Akali Nihangs removed and distributed by B.O.S.S. (British Organisation of Sikh Students).
b) Websites such as Sikhiwiki.org and www.amritworld.com utilising vast sections from www.sarbloh.info, effectively breaching copyright, and re-writing portions (by selectively quoting out of context) in order to remove references to meat, cannabis, alcohol, Akali Nihangs, and Sanatan ideology/terminology in order to appeal to mainsteam Sikhs.
c) Profit oriented publications such as the 'Sikh Directory' (based in the UK) claiming that 'Gatka' is taught according to '16 Principles (this in reference to Sanatan Sikh Shastar Vidiya's 'Solan Sidhant') and again disregarding copyright and utilsing portions of www.sarbloh.info.
For the objective, intelligent, analytical and more perceptive audience, www.shastarvidiya.org (and its associated websites such as www.sarbloh.info, www.nihang.com, etc) ensure that where possible, clear references/sources are given with regards to Sanatan Hindu Sikh Shastar Vidiya. In utilising this methology of presenting information, the reader is allowed the freedom to infer their own point of view.
At this point, we would at this point like to remind those attempting to copy, steal or edit information from www.shastarvidiya.org and www.sarbloh.info to read the legal Copyright Notice.
